Mobile 2.0 Destinations tab
Overview
Mobile 2.0 is a project building a new app with new code base and test it in certain market. It is a opportunity for design team and development team to fix issues in current app.
1. Destination Tab Landing
- Bigger map view and Search bar on the top
2. Search Page
- Show Search History instead of frequent destinations
3. Search Result
- User stays on search result after select one of the result
4. POI Search
- Allow user edit POI search keyword(e.g. Fuel > Fuel Chicago)
Dropped PIN
- Open detail when pin is dropped
Plan for Later Release
Due to limited resource and time, we could have not to build everything to fix all usability issue. Following items are slated for later release..
Learned Destination (Machine Learning)
- Require location name before it is saved

Only 0.45% of users tap Frequent Destinations
- Users only remember name of the location not address Users don’t know if there is a machine learning feature The icon doesn’t represent what it is
Users expect to see search history
- All major map apps having search history when filed is empty
1.2% of users use Dropped PIN
- It is not clear how to open location detail
